O/Aria
O/Aria is for me, the piece which brings us back to the essential; to dynamic movement and it’s architecture. This work is an absolute wish to reply to the profound call of movement and it’s musicality.
The evolution of the piece is therefore directed naturally to a non narrative dramatic technique built as a waterfall of pure events, linking one to the other constantly.
The construction of the gestural aspect of the piece is the fruit of the meeting between the dancers and I; born from a creative synergy guided by supple directives.
I wanted to ultimately highlight the crystalline quality of presence and abstract forms of movement. In O/Aria, the group takes a new, preponderant, central force.
The principal task was to orchestrate and give resonance to the artist inside the structure which I wished to be as defined as possible. The anatomical meetings, their interactions and their development, repeatedly during the length of the piece become a suite of perchance encounters.
The continuity of the piece is therefore given by a constant being ruptures in the actions, entrances and exits, movement and immobility.
