Zoo
Zoo introduces us to a world of borders, where the 1st degree meaning of the terms “man” and “mankind”, “animal” and “animalistic” are abolished.
The piece describes the ambiguities with which human actions react, highlighting the relationship that man has with regard to his own animal instinct.
The condition of biped and quadruped life is alternated, giving attention to both inner and outer aspects of being. The piece is articulated in acts, each being linked to an emotional dramatic technique.
The ensemble of images develops like a combat between two opposing parties, under a sign of shifting ambivalence and of metamorphose.
This ode inspired from oddness is conducted on a razorblade on which the dancers and the regard of the spectators meet.
